Best Workout Routine for Women

Best Workout Routine for Women

Women can get really confused when it comes to knowing the best workout routine for them. There are so many different opinions but what should really be focused on is your own personal opinion. What do you want to get out of your workout? What type of body are you looking for?

These questions will answer for you what type of workout routine if best for you. However, the average woman doesn’t want to look like she could bench press a killer whale. We want to be healthy and strong, but we don’t want our biceps to be bigger than our heads.
For women, a big issue is fat around the midsection, butt, thighs, and back of the arms. Since we carry around a higher percentage of body fat than men, we need to do more cardio. The greatest amount of calorie burn is essential; however, we are also sentimental beings. We need to enjoy our workout routine or else we won’t commit to it.

The Answer

You need to find a workout routine that you like, that you could stick to, and that burns a significant amount of calories. You may enjoy walking your dog around the block but that won’t burn enough calories to keep you slim. It is also suggested that you do at least 20 minutes of high intensity cardio or 45 minutes of moderate cardio 4-5 times a week. The best workout routine will also incorporate some toning for your muscles. We don’t want to be stick figures. Developing long, lean muscles will help to give you a dancer’s body with curves in all the right places. Also, to keep your mind engaged, a little variety wouldn’t hurt.

Example of a Good Workout Routine

Monday: 20 minutes of high intensity cardio- sprinting

Tuesday: 45 minutes of hiking a difficult trail

Wednesday: 30 minutes of advanced yoga

Thursday: 20 minutes of jogging in a hilly neighborhood

Friday: 45 minutes of treadmill

Saturday: 30 minute of advanced yoga

Sunday: free day

It is okay to do things that are fun for your exercise, like hiking in the example, as long as you remember that it is a part of your workout routine, and you put forth effort, not go at it leisurely. When you increase the intensity of the workout you don’t need to spend as much time at it so remember that when you plan out your workout routine. Put the higher intensity workouts on the days that are the most time restricted. The most important part of making your exercise the best workout routine for you is to keep yourself motivated and don’t give up!
