Gym vs. Home Workouts

When it comes to women’s fitness training, there are two different ways of going about it. You can set things up to where you do all your training at home on home workout equipment, or you can join a gym and do your training there using their equipment.

There are pro’s and con’s of both and we are going to look a little more in depth at these to help you make your choice with the information here.

Women’s Fitness Training at Home

Pro’s:
  • You don’t have to worry about what you look like. Workout in your pj’s or in a raincoat. Heck, you could even workout naked, although I wouldn’t recommend it! (Eww!)
  • It is much cheaper if you do it right. Some people spend thousands on home workout equipment but it is not necessary to do that in order to effectively train at home.
  • There are no closing times or holidays. When working out at home you have the freedom to use your home workout equipment whenever you want.
  • No traveling. When you do your women’s fitness training at home, you have the convenience of not having to get in your car and drive anywhere. That can take up a considerable amount of time and gas money.


Con’s:
  • At home, you’re on your own. You don’t have anyone looking over you telling you when you are doing something wrong.
  • No company. Unless you and a roommate or significant other use your home workout equipment together, you don’t get the camaraderie that you can get at the local gym.
  • There isn’t as much room or equipment at home for your women’t fitness training then there would be in a gym. You would have to find a home workout equipment that worked several parts of the body at once and needed little space to use.
